The ‘Traditions’ jewelry brand carries a remarkable history that stretches back to the late 19th century. The Backliwal family, originally from Bakli, Rajasthan, later rooted themselves in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, where they became the trusted jewelers of the royal family of Gwalior. In the mid-19th century, our forefathers relocated to Delhi and earned a prominent reputation as one of the distinguished ‘seths’ of Old Delhi, known for their expertise in art, antiques, and jewelry. The Backliwal name remains respected among Delhi’s elite jewelers.

Our grandfather, Shri Jamboo Prasad Backliwal, furthered this legacy by establishing ‘Jamboo Arts Palace’ in the iconic E Block of Connaught Place. Today, 200 years later, we continue to operate from our office in Connaught Place with the same unwavering commitment to quality and honesty. Upholding the Backliwal family name and tradition is at the core of everything we do, as we strive for excellence in every piece of jewelry we create.
