Education Abroad  » New Zealand

iTPL / ISSL’s role is to help students quickly and successfully achieve their New Zealand education goals using iTPL / ISSL’s proven professional experience, expert multi-lingual counsellors and our relationships with key education institutions throughout New Zealand. We recommend the following steps:

  1. Planning Your Study

Read the information under this heading and throughout the relevant sections of the NZ Education section of this website to understand the study options suitable for you.

  2. Choosing a School or Institution
Decide what institutions you prefer. iTPL / ISSL will advise you what institutions are most likely to meet your requirements and will help you to select the best school or institution for you.

  3. Complete Enquiry and Application Form
This form gives iTPL / ISSL your personal information and you have the opportunity to ask questions to help you decide on your study plan. Proceed to complete the Application section when ready.

  4. Enrolment Application
iTPL / ISSL will review and discuss with you your study plan if necessary and then make an Enrolment Application to the institution nominated or ISSL will apply for the course and institution it considers is the best option for you. iTPL / ISSL will also advise you if further information or documentation is needed to support your application.

  5. Offer of Place
The institution will send to iTPL / ISSL an Offer of Place confirming your acceptance and enrolment. The Offer of Place will detail the course, tuition fee, course dates and any conditions you must fill before you can begin study. Normally iTPL / ISSL will obtain your Offer of Place within 5 – 7 days.

  6. Study-NZ Pack
iTPL / ISSL will send to you the Study-NZ Pack which includes
    - original Offer of Place
    - institution prospectus and information
    - Living in New Zealand booklet
    - iTPL / ISSL's Visa Assistance Package: Student visa documentation, individual preparation instructions and ISSL covering letter to New Zealand Immigration Service (NZIS)

  7. Student Visa Processing
iTPL’s counsellors will liase with you to complete and lodge your student visa application. Following visa lodgement ISSL will contact directly with the visa officer until the visa decision is made. Visa processing can take from 2 to 12 weeks depending on the location. Visas processed by iTPL / ISSL have a success rate of over 90%+.

  8. Visa Approval & Fee Payment
The procedure following visa approval is as follows:

    1. iTPL / ISSL will send you a detailed fee invoice to include all fees for tuition, accommodation, medical insurance, any other school/institution fees, any ISSL visa assistance and guardianship (for secondary school students) fees and tax.

    2. All fees are to be paid to the ISSL bank account in NZ detailed on the fee invoice in US$ or NZ$. US$ payments will be converted at the current exchange rate and any surplus funds credited to your account. ISSL will send you a formal receipt for all payments.

    3. ISSL immediately pays the institution’s tuition and accommodation fees and organises fee receipts and the other documentation required in the visa approval to be forwarded to the NZIS visa officer. Your passport should also be forwarded to the visa officer by this time. The student visa is then issued and the passport collected by, or sent back to, you in your home country.
